Walking in Beauty

Walking In Beauty (Blessing)

Today I will walk out, today everything unnecessary will leave me,
I will be as I was before, I will have a cool breeze over my body.
I will have a light body, I will be happy forever,
nothing will hinder me.
I walk with beauty before me. I walk with beauty behind me.
I walk with beauty below me. I walk with beauty above me.
I walk with beauty around me. My words will be beautiful.

In beauty all day long may I walk.
Through the returning seasons, may I walk.
On the trail marked with pollen may I walk.
With dew about my feet, may I walk.

With beauty before me may I walk.
With beauty behind me may I walk.
With beauty below me may I walk.
With beauty above me may I walk.
With beauty all around me may I walk.

In old age wandering on a trail of beauty, lively, may I walk.
In old age wandering on a trail of beauty, living again, may I walk.
My words will be beautiful. (Navajo Prayer)

The movement towards the dream

Dreaming woman-Solveig

To be a dreamer is often a challenge. I am a dreamer, I dream easily and I have many dreams. I am slowly heading towards them and living them. The challenge is to enjoy the journey here and now, not just the destination. There is always a new dream to move towards, so the real dream is the beauty of the now. The dream can also change during the journey as we grow and change. There is always a movement in life, energy dance in the moonlight, beauty to be seen, love to spread, joy abounding***

I am joyfully appreciating the dance towards the dream. The dream is Now, I am living my dream and heading towards new ones.

"Dream your passions, fly away. Go through the hoop of your innermost fears and desires. Meet them and conquer them. Come through your own reflections. Act in your dreams as you want to act and find the guarded kivas where you have hidden your heart." (Agnes Whistling Elk, Medicine Woman)

Finding my Muse-Frida Kahlo

Frida and Me-Becoming My Muse

I adore Frida Kahlo!  Her life, art, struggles and pain and her enduring Creative Spirit never giving up hope, never loosing her creative spark. She painted so she could survive, she painted her pain, her hopes, dreams, love and death. The existential dilemma we all face, Frida did not keep it within herself but poured it out into the canvas, making her striking Art Work for all to see.
Frida is inspiring character; colorful, true to her ancestor roots, political view and her art. She was the blow of fresh wind wherever she came, feeling sometimes alienated and strange, nevertheless she never adapted someone else ideals, but stayed true to herself. She was a true bohemian and is still inspiring many of us!
I had a dream just when I was pondering if I should come out into the world with my art work. I had recently seen a photograph of Frida so colorful and beautiful! I just had to paint that photo and then it all started. In this painting process ideas started to flow and in the dream Frida came. She was holding a workshop, creativity and colors were abound and I was participating, happy to meet this magnificent woman. It was a good dream and in the morning the name of the page came ,,Listagyðjan" in icelandic translated ,,The Muse" in english. Frida became my muse for a moment and when I finished the painting I decided one evening for the fun of it to become my muse. It was great experience and evoked laughter and joy. I recommend to dress up for a theme of inspiration. We can become chameleon and move our energy into whatever we seek and become that without loosing ourselves. We can choose to draw upon each others powers and gifts- and be inspired by each other. We can  release separation and look at object or a person for example and say ,,I am that", because in truth we are all one!
In life we can have many muses, it doesn´t have to be a living person, artist or celebrity. It can be anything that inspires, like nature, the sky, your dreams, a pattern or a color. Everything has something deeper within, something that is not clear to the eye but lies hidden beneath, that is the magic of inspiration. You open a doorway to the imagination, something lies waiting to be revealed and you find that treasure and let your muse be your guiding light. May your inspiration be the sparkling light on your journey.
Wishing you all a creative fall season***
